Finding my purpose at 38 years old…

I was just trying to get sober. I found so much more…

I spent years trying to figure out how to be comfortable in my own skin.

I tried everything I could find - alcohol, drugs, food, sex, success… and none of it helped. The search nearly killed me. Then I found the thing that I had been missing. The thing that I was looking for in everything I did, and that doesn’t come from any of those things. What I discovered was the idea of Spiritual Health.

When I began this spiritual practice, I had almost nothing. Damaged relationships, no marketable job skills, and a 15-year-old truck that leaned to one side and blew smoke nonstop. Things were rough…

Through this daily practice I have returned to playing music, built 2 successful careers, and managed to create a 17-year marriage to an amazing woman who I’ve never had a serious argument with. I’ve grown into the kind of dad my stepdaughters needed to help get them through some rough, challenging times on their journey to young adulthood. We never lost our connection, and we are closer now than ever. My ability to do these things is a direct result of the work I’ve done using the daily spiritual tools I’s love to teach you.

What I love about this approach to spirituality is that it produces results, and the results are reproducible every time I apply the tools. This means the practice is also refinable – I can get better at getting the results I need, which is good, because as my life grows I have less and less time to be freaked out…

I have worked with a LOT of people. Adult addicts trying to figure out how to stay sober and build sustainable lives, men and women who are tired of having the same dysfunctional relationship over and over. Couples who want to become a better team. Teenagers and young adults who are scared and have no idea how to move forward with their lives. The tools that work so well for me worked for them too. The people who were willing to look at things from a different angle, and to start taking action and gaining new experiences with themselves and the world have been able to transform their lives just like I am continuing to do.

Spirituality doesn’t need to be a vague, unfocused belief system, or a rigid religious one either. In fact, this approach to developing and maintaining Spiritual Health doesn’t really require belief at all. It exists in a place before belief systems. Nothing about this way of approaching spirituality will undermine any religious beliefs you have, and nothing about it will require any religious or spiritual beliefs either. And I’m excited to see what YOUR Big, Cool Life looks like!
